$183,000 Settlement

A tow truck driver sustained injuries to his neck, back, right shoulder and head as a result of a slip and fall accident while on the job. As part of his medial care for the work injury, he was forced to undergo a cervical fusion which left him with significant scarring. Over the years, the financial strain of relying solely on workers’ compensation benefits almost resulted in the loss of his home. The stress of the injury financially, physically, and emotonally also led to depression. Jerry M. Lehocky filed Petitions to expand the description of the work-related injury to include depression and to obtain an award of disfigurement benefits for the cervical scarring. Through the course of litigating the Petitions, Mr. Lehocky obtained a settlement of $183,000.00.
