A union painter from the Philadelphia area injured his shoulder while at work, on assignment in Brooklyn, New York. He treated with the employer’s doctors in Philadelphia and continued to work until he was laid off by the employer. When he was laid off, he was also informed that his workers’ compensation claim was being denied. The injured worker met with Sam Pond, who filed a Claim Petition. The case ultimately resolved for $200,000.00.
