$242,584.93 Settlement

A union laborer injured his lower back after falling off a ladder.  He treated with his employer’s doctors and a Notice of Compensation Payable was issued, recognizing the injury. Sam Pond met with the injured worker, and filed a penalty petition after discovering that a number of medical bills were not being paid, although they were for treatment of the work-related injury.  The Employer also filed a petition to terminate the injured workers’ wage loss and medical benefits, after having him undergo an independent medical evaluation.  Mr. Pond secured a settlement in the amount of $242,584.93.
