David F. Stern has concentrated his practice in the area of Workers’ Compensation litigation since graduation from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Mr. Stern has been representing injured workers since 2004. He is one of the founding partners of Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano.
Before becoming a trial lawyer, Mr. Stern defended Workers’ Compensation actions at one of the leading defense firms in Philadelphia. He was also a partner at his former firm.
Mr. Stern earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Delaware, where he was a Division One athlete. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, as well as the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and Pennsylvania Association for Justice.
In 2011, Mr. Stern was appointed the Eastern District Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He is a member of the Membership Committee and Amicus Curiae Committee for the same organization. Mr. Stern was also selected to the Future Leaders Section of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Stern actively engages in pro bono endeavors for the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (Philly VIP) and was enrolled in the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania Pro Bono Roll of Honor in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2012. In September of 2011, Mr. Stern was selected as Philly VIP’s Volunteer of the month. Mr. Stern has been selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® Rising Stars list on multiple occasions and was selected to the Super Lawyers ®list for 2012.
Mr. Stern has been published in the area of Workers’ Compensation law and has spoken at numerous seminars in this field.
