Identifying Candidates for Disability Benefits
Your patient may be eligible for Social Security Disability if he or she:
- Have severe physical and/or mental impairments
- Was working and paying taxes until the injury or illness
- Will be unable to work a full-time job, in your medical opinion, for 12 months or more
