Pond Lehocky Partner David F. Stern is quoted in today’s PA Law Weekly, a supplement toThe Legal Intelligencer. Mr. Stern is featured in an article entitled “Jury Screening Question Highlights Supreme Court Arguments,” a round-up of the arguments that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court will hear during its oral argument session kicking off today in Harrisburg.


In the article, Mr. Stern provides insight into Patton v. Worthington Associates, a case which deals with whether a jury should be given a “prelude” or “screening question” before conducting the McDonald test to determine whether a worker is a “statutory employee” or an “independent contractor.” According to Mr. Stern, the case’s ruling will have a great impact on third-party cases.
