Pond Lehocky Giordano founding partner, Thomas J. Giordano, Jr., spoke at the virtual Live Well with Lupus series on Saturday, November 9, 2020. The Living Well with Lupus Series is the Philadelphia Tri-State Chapter of the Lupus Foundation’s signature educational event, which brings together people living with lupus, their families, interested health professionals and a panel of experts to share the latest information to help individuals live well – or better – with lupus.
Giordano joined other keynote speakers, including Cindy Fiske of GSK/Us in Lupus, Chris Collins of Aurinia, and Nadia Mansoor from Maha Yoga.
“I always want people to work,” Giordano said. “I always think that’s the better psychological thing for you to do. But what happens if lupus is affecting your ability to work? And I want you to understand your rights. You should consider filing for Social Security Disability if your lupus has affected or impaired your ability to work.”

Giordano has dedicated his career to assisting disabled Americans. He leads Pond Lehocky Disability, the firm’s nationwide Social Security and disability insurance arm. The department has represented tens of thousands of disabled individuals in all 50 states.
Giordano has also previously served on the board of directors of the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania. A graduate of Rutgers University School of Law – Camden, Giordano currently serves as the chair of the Social Security Disability Committee of the American Association for Justice and as the co-chair of the Social Security Disability section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
