Pond Lehocky Giordano associate Ruxandra Osgood appeared on PhillyLabor Radio

Pond Lehocky Giordano attorney Ruxandra M. Osgood appeared as a special guest on the August 3 episode of the Who’s Who in PhillyLabor radio show on WWDB-AM Talk 860. Osgood will be joined by host Joe Dougherty Jr. for a conversation about her career, workers’ compensation, and what workers’ need to know about their rights during the pandemic.

Listeners can listen to the entire episode online at wwdbam.com

No matter how many days have passed, we stress the importance of getting us involved,” Osgood shared about the process of filing a claimWhether that means us emailing the adjuster or filing a claim. Once they know we’re involved, they know that they need to respond appropriately, there’s no delay. We don’t want to get in a situation where two months have passed, the worker is out, no money is coming in and they have no idea what’s going on. We want to file right away.

The show is part of “The Lawyers of Pond Lehocky” series, highlighting the attorneys from the 2019 Who’s Who in Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy Program Firm of the Year. In conjunction with the award, PhillyLabor is presenting a series spotlighting Pond Lehocky Giordano’s attorneys on its radio program. The program will be doing a show every first Monday of the month featuring another lawyer from the firm.

Osgood has been devoted to representing workers’ rights since her undergraduate studies. She received her bachelor’s degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University followed by her law degree from Villanova University in 2014. She currently serves as the legislative liaison for the Executive Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section.  Osgood has published several articles in The Legal Intelligencer and is an active member of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and Pennsylvania Association for Justice. She has also been a guest lecturer at Villanova Law School for the program’s Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Course.

Osgood’s time and experience as an All-Ivy athlete and captain of the Cornell University’s Division One Varsity Women’s Tennis Team provided her with the foundation to develop and grow her leadership, communication, and management skills, which she has been applying in the competitive and dynamic workers’ compensation practice.

PhillyLabor named Pond Lehocky Giordano its Who’s Who in Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy Program Firm of the Year last August, recognizing the firm’s “exemplary representation of injured workers and disabled citizens” from across the Philadelphia area.

PhillyLabor is an independent pro-labor media platform and service provider. The organization, through its Injured Workers Advocacy Program 501(c)(3), advocates for injured workers throughout the Philadelphia-area union community. Pond Lehocky Giordano was selected for the award by the organization’s Who’s Who in Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy committee.

The committee annually recognizes top legal professionals in the Philadelphia area who have dedicated their careers to representing and advocating for injured victims and injured workers. The Law Firm of the Year award is the highest honor bestowed to members of the legal community by the committee.
