Blakla shared in his essay and video about the struggles he and has family faced when he was born with several heart defectsBlakla had multiple open-heart surgeries before he was two years old, and more as a child. When his father got hurt on the job, the family struggled to pay both medical bills and keep food on the table. They turned to Pond Lehocky Giordano for help.
