Pond Lehocky Partners with Lehigh Valley IronPigs for Second Year to Recognize Outstanding Members of the Community

Every month during the 2017 baseball season, Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano joins the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in recognizing those who have actively contributed to improving their community. By going above and beyond, these individuals exemplify what it means to be compassionate and strong leaders that make a positive difference every day.

The Pond Lehocky Community Star Award is presented on the field at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, PA before one home game each month. In April, Joe Salas and Abbey Heimbach were selected due to their hard work and dedication as volunteers for The Miracle League of Northampton County. Bobby McClarin was nominated in May for serving as a coach and mentor for The Five Star Heart Project Corporation. In June, Dick Button, the former President of the Allentown School District Foundation Board, was chosen for exceeding standards to help grow the foundation. This month, Michael McKenna received the award because of his hard work and devotion to the non-profit organization Access Services, whose mission is to develop innovative ways to provide support services for individuals with special needs.

The next Community Star Award will be announced at the beginning of the August 11th home game against Charlotte Knights. To learn more about the Community Star Award program, or to submit a nomination, click here.
