Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano associate Raphael Castro appeared as a guest Sept. 24 on the Go Hard with Jennifer Gomez Hardy radio show on WWDB-AM Talk 860.

Castro discussed his experience as a workers’ compensation attorney and a former prosecutor in Philadelphia. During the wide-ranging conversation, he offered his insights on work injuries, the interplay between personal injury and workers’ compensation laws, the opioid epidemic in Philadelphia, and recent law changes that help those convicted of misdemeanors return to the workforce.

Go Hard with Jennifer Gomez Hardy is co-hosted by trial attorney Jennifer Gomez Hardy of Gomez Law Group, a personal injury firm, and Joe Dougherty Jr. of The show discusses the law and the legal issues most on the minds of Philadelphians.

Castro joined Pond Lehocky in 2017, concentrating his practice on helping injured and disabled workers. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant district attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, litigating both violent and property crime.

Castro earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Temple University in 2011 and his law degree from Widener University School of Law in 2014. After graduating, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Sheila Woods-Skipper, President Judge of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

He currently serves on the boards of SEAMAAC, a non-profit supporting immigrants and youth, and the 26th PDAC, a monthly council meeting with police and community residents addressing quality of life and enhancing public safety.
