Pond Lehocky Celebrates Managing Partner Sam Pond’s 30th Anniversary as a Workers’ Compensation Attorney

This May marks the 30th anniversary of the start Managing Partner Sam Pond’s career as a workers’ compensation attorney. Sam has concentrated his practice in workers’ compensation litigation since he graduated at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and has become a role model for those interested in workers’ compensation law.

Throughout his 30 years as a claimant’s lawyer, Sam has made history in the field of workers’ compensation. In 2010, Sam and Partners Jerry Lehocky and Thomas Giordano Jr. founded Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano, a law firm dedicated to helping injured workers. The firm has grown into the largest workers’ compensation firm in the Philadelphia area, with 11 additional offices throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and California. Pond Lehocky also opened a Social Security Disability department called Disability Justice that has assisted thousands of disabled Americans in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

Sam’s advocacy for his clients has resulted in some of the largest settlements in Pennsylvania and the nation. In 2014, he secured one of the highest Workers’ Compensation settlements in the country at $3,000,000. His distinguished legal work has led to him to be selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® from 2007-2018. He has also been selected for inclusion in the Super Lawyers® Top 100 in Pennsylvania and Top 100 in Philadelphia lists and has been named a Super Lawyer® for 14 consecutive years.

Through his momentous career, Sam remains humble. His charitable contributions focus on children and education. They include organizing the Union Services Access Scholarship Fund, The Pond Lehocky Trial Advocacy Scholarship and The Pond Lehocky Legal Studies Department Head Office at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. He also created the Marie Pond Scholarship Fund in honor of his mother, which is a yearly scholarship awarded to a member of the Torresdale Boys Club.
