Pond Lehocky senior associate Melissa Chandy appeared as a guest January 14 on the Who’s Who in PhillyLabor radio show on WWDB-AM Talk 860, hosted by Joe Dougherty Jr. The episode was part of “The Lawyers of Pond Lehocky” series highlighting the attorneys from the 2019 Who’s Who in Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy Program Firm of the Year.
Chandy talked about what workers should do when they are injured on the job and why they should immediately seek legal counsel from an experienced attorney. She also discussed the need for injured workers to treat with their own doctors and take control of their medical care. She further described the holistic approach to client service to maximize injured workers’ benefits and ensure all their needs are met.
In addition, Chandy explained how briefs are used in the workers’ compensation system to tell the client’s story and make the argument for benefits to the judge.

Chandy has focused her practice exclusively on Pennsylvania workers’ compensation law since graduating from Penn State – Dickinson School of Law. She is a certified specialist in Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation by the PA Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the PA Supreme Court. She joined Pond Lehocky in 2010 and is a senior associate, managing the brief writing department.
