Three Pond Lehocky associates join Disciplinary Board Hearing Committee

Pond Lehocky Giordano associates Kevin Harchar, Keld Wenge and Frank Ciprero have been appointed to the Hearing Committee servicing the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Their terms will begin in July. The appointments bring the number of Pond Lehocky attorneys serving on the Hearing Committee to five.

The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania is the highest court in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the oldest court in the United States. The Disciplinary Board was established in 1972 to regulate attorney conduct, protect the public, maintain legal profession and safeguard the reputation of the courts.

The Hearing Committee is made up of approximately 150 volunteers from throughout the state. They committee conducts hearings and acts as a formal reviewing body to determine if disciplinary cases should proceed. Disciplinary Board members appoint attorneys to the Hearing Committee for three-year terms.

Kevin, Keld and Frank join Pond Lehocky associates Morty Cassidy and Nicholas Liermann, who were appointed to three-year terms on the Hearing Committee last year.

Last year, Partner Jerry Lehocky was named to the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. An invitation to become a member of the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court is extended to only a few seasoned litigation attorneys who have displayed the highest standards of ethics and integrity in their professional careers.

“I am very excited to join along in the efforts and good work of an agency operating under the highest judicial authority in our Commonwealth,” Keld said, “and honored to work alongside one of our Firm’s great leaders, Jerry Lehocky, in a capacity outside our practice.”

“It’s truly an honor to be given the opportunity to serve on a board that exemplifies the highest standards in our profession,” Kevin said.

Pond Lehocky Giordano is the largest workers’ compensation and Social Security disability law firm in the region, boasting more than 40 attorneys and 200 staff members. The firm has also recently expanded into new practice areas for workers, including employment law and long-term disability.
