This past Sunday, June 10th, Team PLSG was spotted supporting the Delaware Valley Stroke Council in their annual 5k race. Strides for Stroke is a memorial benefit held in honor of Dr. Howard Mazer. The proceeds go towards stroke survivors and their caregivers, as well as stroke prevention education and medical screenings.
PLSG’s commitment to stroke prevention comes from a personal place. Although, the majority of Workers’ Compensation cases involve orthopedic injuries, there are rare cases of Workers’ Compensation claims involving strokes. Pond Lehocky recently won Workers’ Compensation benefits for a client who suffered a stroke while performing his duties. We are committed to the causes that affect our clients. It is a great privilege to use our skills in the courtroom, but just as important is using our resources to better the community in which we practice. This year was Strides for Stroke 18th year, hold on a beautiful and sunny day along West River Drive. To learn more about stroke prevention, please see phillystroke.org.
