Pond Lehocky Welcomes 40th Attorney to the Firm, Associate Raphael Castro

Pond Lehocky welcomes Raphael F. Castro as our newest workers’ compensation attorney.

Mr. Castro has a passion for finding justice for Philadelphians; he has worked in the city since his graduation from nearby Widener Law School, where he graduated with pro bono distinction in 2014.

“I grew up in Philly, so I always wanted to be a stakeholder, a steward, of the city. Becoming an attorney gave me a platform within the community to make a real difference.”

Before joining Pond Lehocky, Mr. Castro worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, litigating both violent and property crime in Philadelphia’s East Division, identified as the highest volume of crime within the city limits.

“I have always wanted to advocate for those who couldn’t advocate for themselves. It’s important in society to have access to an attorney that you trust. I hope to be that for my clients here at Pond Lehocky.”

Mr. Castro, who is fluent in both Spanish and English, has had a strong drive to serve the community since childhood that he attributes to his upbringing.

“My parents immigrated to the United States, and they showed me the value of hard work and public service. While working as a prosecutor at the Philly DA’s Office, I have advocated for those who did not have a voice. Serving the community has always been my greatest honor, especially when working with victims who could not speak English. At Pond Lehocky, this experience will give me an opportunity to help others understand their protected rights as workers.”

Mr. Castro can be reached at rcastro@pondlehocky.com. He is the 40th attorney to join Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano’s growing firm.
