The article continues to demonstrate the various tradeoffs workers face in light of the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act, specifically, wage decreases for high earners, pension offsets and the lack of benefits for injured workers’ spouses and children. While the current Workers’ Compensation Act provides some benefits for injured workers, it does not guarantee that they will remain physically, emotionally and financially well after a work injury.
