$105,000 Settlement

April 26, 2013

A police officer suffered a left knee mensical tear while at work. Although he was permitted to work in a light duty capacity, he was told by his employer that no light duty work was available. As a result, he was forced to stay out of work and to collect workers’ compensation benefits. The employer filed a petition to modify the injured worker’s workers’ compensation benefits based on the results of a vocational assessment. David Stern settled the wage loss portion of the case for $105,000.00. The insurance carrier will remain responsible for the payment of any medical bills related to the work injury.
