$130,000 Workers Compensation Settlement

January 27, 2014

A laborer injured his left shoulder while performing his job duties, which involved loading trucks using a machine with a crank.  After a few days of loading more trucks than usual, the laborer noticed that his left shoulder was beginning to bother him.  The panel doctors told him that the problem was arthritis and not work-related.  The injured worker then treated with his own family doctor, who advised that he had sustained a repetitive trauma injury due to his job duties.  Although he was placed on light duty due to the injury, the employer refused to provide any light duty work.  Frank Ciprero filed a Claim Petition on the injured worker’s behalf.  The case ultimately resolved for $130,000.00.
