$192,500 Settlement

January 27, 2014

A laborer for a major shipping company sustained a lower back injury while performing his job duties. His employer issued a Notice of Temporary Compensation Payable (“NTCP”). The injured worker met with Jerry M. Lehocky for information about the workers’ compensation process. He was reluctant to move forward with a case for fear of jeopardizing his job. Mr. Lehocky explained the process and later met with the injured worker again. Mr. Lehocky learned that the NTCP had been pulled and immediately filed a Claim Petition on the injured worker’s behalf. The matter was settled for 192,500.00. Through the assistance of Thomas J. Giordano, the injured worker was also awarded Social Security Disability benefits.
