$225,000 Settlement

January 27, 2014

A laborer suffered severe nerve damage after cutting his wrist with a piece of metal. He met with David Stern after having undergone three surgical procedures. Although the employer was paying both wage loss and medical benefits, the employer began to refuse to pay for certain medical bills. Mr. Stern filed a Penalty Petition based on the employer’s failure to comply with the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act by refusing to pay for medical bills related to the work injury. Mr. Stern reached a settlement with the employer for $225,000.00. Through the settlement, the injured worker can continue to treat for the work injury at the employer’s expense.
