$115,200 Settlement

April 24, 2013

A school counselor was injured as a result of a slip and fall in the school auditorium. He came under the care of the employer’s panel doctors for a right knee injury. He began receiving workers’ compensation benefits when he stopped working due to the injury. Although he did not have full use of his right knee, the employer told him that he needed to return to work and the injured worker complied. He continued treating and was told that he needed surgery. When he advised the insurance carrier, he was instructed to undergo an independent medical evaluation first. His workers’ compensation benefits then suddenly stopped. The injured worker contacted Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano to discuss his case, and met with David Stern. Mr. Stern ultimately settled the case for $115,200.00.
