Steven Normington serves as General Counsel and Head of Tax at Pond Lehocky, providing strategic legal and tax leadership to support the firm’s continued growth and client-first mission. In this role, he oversees corporate governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and firmwide tax strategy. Steven works closely with executive leadership to ensure legal, operational, and financial decisions are aligned with the firm’s long-term goals and core values.

Before joining Pond Lehocky, Steven advised clients on complex tax and legal matters across corporate, transactional, and regulatory environments. Most recently, he served as a Senior Associate in Mergers and Acquisitions at KPMG, where he focused on state and local tax issues and supported buyer and seller due diligence for more than 200 transactions spanning industries such as energy, life sciences, manufacturing, private equity, and technology. Earlier in his career, Steven served as General Counsel to a multi-jurisdictional franchisor, providing comprehensive legal support across franchise compliance, contract negotiation, litigation, and risk management. Steven is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Temple University while working part-time as a car salesman.
