1. Introduction and scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Pond Lehocky Giordano Inc. and its affiliates Pond Lehocky Giordano California LLP, Pond Lehocky Giordano Disability LLC, and Pond Lehocky Giordano LLP (together, “Pond Lehocky,” “we,” “us”) collect, use, and disclose personal information through pondlehocky.com and related web pages (the “Site”). It applies to information collected through the Site and does not apply to information collected offline or to records maintained in the course of legal representation. The Site is intended for United States residents; we make no representation that it is appropriate or available for use outside the United States. Health-related information is also addressed in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
2. Personal information we collect
Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: your name (if provided), email address, and telephone number when you submit a form, plus IP address and device or online identifiers.
- Records and inquiry information: information you submit through forms, including the practice area of your claim and a description of your claim. Because these fields can reveal a health condition or injury, we treat them as consumer health data (see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy) and do not use or share them for advertising or analytics.
- Demographic information: age range and gender, derived through our analytics provider.
- Device and technical information: browser, operating system and version, platform, device brand, category, and model, and language settings.
- Online activity: pages viewed, links clicked, and usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Approximate geolocation: city, state or region, and country, derived from your IP address.
- Audio recordings: if you call us, your call may be monitored or recorded.
- Inferences and interests: inferred interests and other inferences drawn from the above.
3. Sources
We collect this information directly from you when you submit a form or communicate with us, and automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use the Site. We may also receive information about you from referral sources and partners (such as another law firm that refers your matter to us) and from service providers and publicly available sources.
4. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and evaluate and communicate with you about a potential or actual matter;
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Site and our services;
- To send communications, including calls and text messages, consistent with our Consent Terms;
- For security, fraud prevention, and to protect our rights and the rights of others; and
- To comply with legal obligations and professional responsibilities.
We may use artificial intelligence and automated tools to support intake, communications, marketing, and case handling. Where we use these tools, your information is handled consistent with this Policy, and we do not rely on them to make decisions about your legal matter without attorney involvement.
5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics 4 with Google Signals [plus any advertising pixels MeanPug confirms, e.g., Meta Pixel, Google Ads], to operate the Site, understand usage and audience demographics, and measure advertising. Google Signals associates activity with a user’s Google account (where the user is signed in and has enabled ads personalization) and provides demographic and interest data; some of these technologies are provided by third parties and may involve the disclosure or “sharing” of online identifiers for analytics and targeted advertising, which you can opt out of as described below.
You can manage cookies through our cookie preference center and your browser settings. We honor recognized universal opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law. Because there is no common standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, we do not separately respond to them, but we honor GPC as described above. You can also limit interest-based advertising through the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info (DAA) and optout.networkadvertising.org (NAI). Disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality.
6. How we disclose information
We disclose personal information only as described here, to the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers and processors who perform services for us (such as hosting, form processing, communications, and our client portal and app) under contracts requiring confidentiality;
- Among the Pond Lehocky entities identified above, as needed to handle your inquiry;
- Other law firms to whom we refer your matter, or that assist us with aspects of your representation, subject to confidentiality obligations;
- Advertising and analytics partners, subject to your opt-out and applicable universal opt-out signals;
- Business transfers (a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy), in which your information may be transferred as a business asset; and
- Legal and safety recipients where disclosure is necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may “share” certain online identifiers with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under state privacy laws. You can opt out of this sharing using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link or by enabling GPC. When we refer your matter to, or work on it with, another law firm, we share your information for the purpose of your representation – this is a disclosure to serve you, not a sale.
Text messaging (carrier-required): No mobile information, and no text-messaging opt-in data or consent, will be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
- Know or access the personal information we have collected about you;
- Delete your personal information;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Obtain a portable copy of your personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising;
- Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information;
- Be free from discrimination for exercising your rights; and
- Appeal a denial of a rights request.
8. How to exercise your rights
Submit a request by email to privacy@pondlehocky.com, or by calling 215-568-7500. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within 45 days (extendable once where permitted). Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proper authorization. If we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@pondlehocky.com with “Privacy Request Appeal” in the subject line. We may decline or limit a request where required or permitted by law, including where we cannot verify your identity or where legal or professional-responsibility obligations require us to retain certain information, such as client files we are required to keep.
9. State-specific privacy rights
This section supplements the above for California residents. It serves as our notice at collection. In the preceding 12 months we collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2, from the sources in Section 3, for the purposes in Section 4, and disclosed them to the categories of recipients in Section 6. We do not sell personal information for money; we may share online identifiers for cross-context behavioral advertising subject to your opt-out. You have the rights described in Section 7, including the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right to designate an authorized agent. California’s “Shine the Light” law: we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
Nevada residents may opt out of the “sale” of certain personal information under Nevada law by contacting us at privacy@pondlehocky.com. Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, and others) may exercise the applicable rights and appeal a denial as described in Sections 7 and 8.
10. Consumer health data
Our website intake form collects limited consumer health data: the practice area and the description of your claim, which can reveal a health condition or injury. We collect that information only to respond to your request, we do not use or share it for advertising or analytics, and we treat it as consumer health data. More detailed health information is collected later, during client onboarding and intake, after you decide to work with us, with your signed, separate written consent. All of this is handled under our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which is linked on our homepage.
11. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy and to meet legal, regulatory, and professional obligations. Advertising records are retained for at least three years, and consent records are retained for at least five years. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
12. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Where required by law, we will notify affected individuals of a data breach.
13. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 for marketing purposes. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will address it.
14. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post changes here and update the “Last Updated” date above.
