National EMS Week Lunch Delivery to JeffSTAT

After weeks of planning, to celebrate frontline workers, Pond Lehocky and Paganos Restaurant partnered to provide meals to emergency medical technicians for National EMS Week at one of the largest hospitals in Philadelphia and its EMT team.

The injury and disability law firm joined with Paganos at noon on Friday, May 22, to provide lunches consisting of sandwiches, wraps, and salad to transport nurses, paramedics and emergency medical technicians at JeffSTAT, a medical transportation service owned and operated by Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. JeffSTAT transports patients to any receiving hospital in the Southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware regions by air or ground.

National EMS Week is the typically celebrated the third week of May by communities across the nation and honors the contributions of EMS practitioners who are trained to save lives and work around the clock. Since the pandemic outbreak, EMS1.com reports that 47 EMS workers have died from Covid-19-related issues, including two in Pennsylvania and 13 in New Jersey.

The lunch donations are a part of a larger pandemic initiative that Pond Lehocky kicked off weeks ago, donating and delivering $10,000 worth of meals to health care workers battling the coronavirus on the front lines and volunteering weekly at Share Food Program. By partnering with a Philadelphia restaurant, Pond Lehocky is also helping to support local business and refuel the local economy, which is important to the firm.

Headquartered in Pennsylvania, Pond Lehocky is one the largest law firms in the region and helps Americans nationwide with workers’ compensation, employment law, injury and disability legal matters. Since opening its door in 2010, the firm has won more than 80 awards, including U.S. News and World Report’s Best Law Firms, The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Top Workplaces, Philadelphia Business Journal’s Best Places to Work, and recognized by The Legal Intelligencer as one of the top law firms in Philadelphia for gender diversity.
