Pond Lehocky is proud to announce that founding partner Jerry Lehocky has been inducted into the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers’ Class of 2026. This distinction honors exceptional attorneys in the field of workers’ compensation, including plaintiff’s attorneys, defense attorneys, professors, and judges.
The award is granted to lawyers who have demonstrated the highest level of professional qualifications, ethical standards, character, integrity, professional expertise, and leadership. Inductees have also shown a significant interest in passing on their knowledge by way of scholarship, including teaching, lecturing, and/or writing about workers’ compensation or related fields of law. Upon their induction to the CWCL, honorees swear to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and commit themselves to the lifelong practice of maintaining those standards. Lawyers can be nominated after they’ve been practicing for 20 years.
When asked for comment, Lehocky spoke about his love of his profession, and his gratitude for the honor:
“For nearly 40 years I have represented men and women, young and old, who have been injured while performing their jobs. I have represented thousands who sustained every kind of injury, exposure ,and disease. It is unfortunate that I have had such a long and busy career. It is unfortunate that too many people are hurt on a daily basis due to poor safety concerns by employers. It is unfortunate that my defense brethren are just as busy as I am. It is unfortunate that thousands of workers’ compensation judges are also very busy across this great country of ours. I have dedicated my legal career to helping those in need. I love what I do, more so now than when I entered a courtroom for the first time. I will continue on my journey knowing that on some small level I am making a difference and have a purpose.
I am grateful for the honor of being asked to join this very important organization. I pledge to do what I can to provide whatever assistance I can and to share my thoughts on making the world of workers’ compensation a more recognized and respected area of law.”
The College of Workers Compensation Lawyers is a nonprofit organization founded to promote the achievement, advancement, and excellence of lawyers practicing workers’ compensation law.
An award dinner for the Class of 2026 was held on April 18, 2026, at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, AZ.
