Have you checked in on your loved ones in Nursing Homes?

Each year, an estimated 5 million older adults are abused, neglected, or exploited. Abuse can come in different forms such as — physical, emotional, or financial. Nursing home neglect is a very common form of elder abuse. If you have a loved one or know someone who is in a nursing home, you should be on alert if they are or have experienced: 

  • Bedsores 
  • Falls or drops within the nursing home resulting in broken bones 
  • Sexual assaults
  • … and many more.
