The firm is proud to announce that we have hired two new attorneys. Please join us in welcoming Paul Loriston and Dave Pizzica to Pond Lehocky Giordano!
Paul Loriston
Paul Loriston joins us as a recent graduate of the Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, where he delivered the commencement speech for the Class of 2022. During his time at Temple, he held positions on the boards of both Temple Law’s Political and Civil Rights Society and Black Law Student Association. Mr. Loriston also held student clerkships with the Honorable L. Felipe Restrepo, on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Honorable Mitchell S. Goldberg and the Honorable Richard Lloret, on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Loriston plays an active role in the legal community as a member of the Executive Committee of the Barristers’ Association. This organization is dedicated to meeting the professional needs and fostering the development of black lawyers, judges, and law students in the Greater Philadelphia area. He also demonstrates his commitment to the legal profession through his involvement in the Temple Inn of Courts and the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Mr. Loriston is fluent in Haitian-creole.
Mr. Loriston served as a criminal defense attorney in Philadelphia before joining Pond Lehocky Giordano.
David Pizzica
Dave Pizzica, a Philadelphia native and experienced trial lawyer, graduated from the Villanova University School of Law in 2010. Upon his graduation, Mr. Pizzica worked at an international law firm where he pursued large claims nationwide caused by fires, explosions, structural collapses, machinery and equipment failures, gas and water leaks, and natural catastrophes, including wildfires, windstorms, and floods.
After that, Mr. Pizzica moved to a regional law firm in Philadelphia where he successfully started a plaintiff-oriented practice, recovering millions of dollars for his clients. From there, he worked at a top trial law firm where he pursued catastrophic injury claims on behalf of his clients. He actively supports the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in honor of his late father, Dr. Albert Pizzica, a renowned pediatrician and neonatologist in the Philadelphia area, and the Calliope Joy Foundation, supporting children with Leukodystrophy, in honor of his late younger sister Allison.
Mr. Pizzica comes to Pond Lehocky Giordano ready to aggressively pursue a disabled client’s rights per their long-term disability policies and will join as chair of our long-term disability group.
Welcome to the team, Paul and Dave!
