At Pond Lehocky Giordano, we are proud to spotlight another remarkable recipient of our 25 Days of Scholarships program – Alexis Stewart, a rising advocate and scholar whose story embodies the mission and spirit of this initiative.
Alexis is a student at George Mason University, Class of 2027, where she is pursuing a degree in International Security and Law on a pre-law track. Hailing from Virginia Beach, VA, Alexis has long demonstrated a deep commitment to civic engagement, leadership, and community empowerment. From organizing a successful high school voter registration drive that helped over 50 students register or pre-register to vote, to taking on leadership roles in women’s political empowerment organizations on her college campus, Alexis has consistently shown what it means to turn values into action.
In her video submission, Alexis spoke with thoughtful conviction about her drive to use law and policy to elevate the voices of marginalized communities – particularly those impacted by conflict, systemic injustice, and displacement. Her goal is to become a human rights attorney, working both in the United States and abroad to advocate for justice and dignity for those who have historically been silenced.
What stood out most about Alexis’s story was her clarity of purpose. She sees the law not just as a career path, but as a tool for healing, accountability, and structural change. Whether it’s protecting civil liberties, supporting refugees, or reforming broken institutions, Alexis is determined to be a force for good. Her passion for advocacy is rooted in lived experiences and a strong belief in the power of informed communities taking action.
“For me, this scholarship is more than financial support,” Alexis shared. “It’s an investment in my future—and with the work I plan to do, it’s an investment in all of our futures.”

About the 25 Days of Scholarships
Launched in 2025, Pond Lehocky Giordano’s 25 Days of Scholarships is a nationwide initiative that awards 25 students each with a $1,000 scholarship. This program is open to students attending two-year colleges, four-year universities, trade schools, and other accredited programs, with the goal of reducing financial barriers and empowering students to focus on what matters most: their education and future.
Each day in June, we highlight a different scholarship winner on our website and social media channels. These students are selected not just for their academic achievement, but for their commitment to service, leadership, and community impact – traits that mirror the values of our law firm.
Applications for the 2025 campaign are still open! To be considered, submit your video application before June 15, 2025.
