Eric L. Young, Esquire is a founding partner of the Rapid Response Team, a cutting edge workplace safety program designed for labor unions and their members. Eric is a seasoned member of the plaintiff’s bar with a distinguished track record in representing workers in complex civil litigation and government investigations. With years of experience as both a union representative and a trial lawyer, Eric has been recognized nationally for confronting corporate misconduct and defending the rights of workers. Eric is AV-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell – the highest distinction for legal experience and ethics.
Before entering private practice, Eric served as general counsel to the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1776, one of the largest local unions in the United States. In that capacity, Eric represented over 40,000 members in contract negotiations and labor arbitrations involving nearly 100 collective bargaining agreements. In doing so, Eric gained firsthand insight into the challenges faced by workers on the job. His experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements and advocating for employees laid the foundation for his deep commitment to justice in the workplace. His work has not only provided financial recovery for his clients but has also helped effect meaningful change in corporate and institutional practices. Eric is known for his tenacity, strategic thinking, and unwavering dedication to his clients’ causes. Whether standing up to powerful employers, navigating complex civil cases, or litigating against government contractors accused of fraud, Eric approaches every case with the same goal: to hold wrongdoers accountable and to vindicate the rights of honest, hardworking people.
Eric is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. In his spare time, Eric enjoys participating in triathlon competitions, and watching his son, Jack, play sports.
