Pond Lehocky “Taking a Stand Against Workers’ Comp Reform Bill” in PA Law Weekly

 

 

 

 

 

In the latest edition of PA Law Weekly, Managing Partner Sam Pond and Associate Susan Nanes explain how injured workers and workers’ compensation attorneys need rigorous offense in the face of impending House Bill 1800 that threatens injured workers’ right to quality medical care.

“HB 1800 is unnecessary, of questionable efficacy, more likely to degrade medical care than to improve it, and unconstitutional not just as an improper delegation of legislative and judicial authority, but also as a threat to due process,” according to the pair. “HB 1800 and other reform efforts in Pennsylvania and elsewhere around the country…seek to stamp out what is thought to be rampant fraud by workers. This view…could not be further from true.”
