Pond Lehocky founding partner, Jerry M. Lehocky, will host a webinar on June 16 at 4:30 p.m. entitled “The Impact of Covid-19 on Workers’ Compensation and Treatment” with the Pennsylvania Pain Society. Lehocky will discuss the effect that the pandemic has had on workers’ compensation patients in their case, the changes seen in the legal world with the use of technology, and what would classify a workers’ compensation case resulting from the virus.
The webinar is open to the public, however advance registration is required via this link:
Lehocky is a partner at Pond Lehocky. He has concentrated on workers’ compensation and Social Security since being admitted to practice in 1985. Initially, he represented employers and insurance companies but began exclusively representing claimants in 1991.
Lehocky previously served as chairman of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Workers’ Compensation Section, advising several Pennsylvania governors and state legislators on workers’ compensation issues. He co-authored the 2006 law creating the Uninsured Employers Guaranty Fund, which provides workers’ compensation benefits to those with uninsured employers. It was the first piece of workers’ compensation legislation favorable to injured workers in more than 30 years. Mr. Lehocky currently serves on the Pennsylvania Association for Justice’s Board of Governors, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association’s board and the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
