World Elder Abuse Day is a reminder that nursing home injuries don’t stop during a pandemic

One-third of U.S. nursing homes have been cited for violating federal regulations. A recent government report found that 1 in 3 nursing home residents suffer from harm of some kind. According to another study, 44 percent of nursing home residents said they suffered from abuse, and 95 percent said they experienced or witnessed neglect in the past year.

If you have a loved one or know someone who is in a nursing home during the pandemic, you should be on alert if they are or have experienced:

  • Bedsores
  • Broken Bones
  • Infections
  • Improper nutrition/hydration
  • Physical Abuse
  • Medication Errors
  • Wrongful death

Make sure your loved ones are truly being cared for. We can help.
