Pond Lehocky execs discuss workplace culture advancements at innovation festival

Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano executives Jackie Donovan, Jennifer Heinz and Corinne Bolaños participated in the recent B.PHL Innovation Fest, presenting a session titled “C-suite squad goals: How millennial women are innovating workplace culture with a personality test.”

Donovan is Pond Lehocky’s chief operations officer, Heinz is its chief human resources officer and Bolaños is its chief marketing officer. Together, they are three-fifths of the firm’s executive committee. The trio was joined by Holly DePalma, a business consultant who specializes in helping organizations optimize their talent using the Predictive Index.

The session focused on how Pond Lehocky is innovating and invigorating its corporate culture by using the Predictive Index, which utilizes psychometric testing to understand what motivates employees and drives their performance. It addressed how the tool helps put people in positions that best align with their personalities and skillsets. The interactive session also taught attendees how they can attract and develop talent and innovate their own corporate cultures.

The three Pond Lehocky executives shared the lessons they learned from creating an entrepreneurial workplace that has won 70 awards over the past 10 years and has been recognized six times among the Best Places to Work by the Philadelphia Business Journal. They discussed how they are using the Predictive Index to maintain a culture of engagement and excellence in an industry typically associated with long hours, high stress and low morale.

B.PHL billed the mission of the inaugural three-day festival as building Philadelphia’s “reputation as the most innovative city on the East Coast—a true place of choice for those looking to inspire new ideas, make connections and ignite novel ways of doing things.” The festival featured three days of workshops, sessions, exhibits and events highlighting innovation in business, education, health care, science, technology and the arts.
