Pond Lehocky Giordano to present at B.PHL Innovation Fest

Pond Lehocky Giordano will present at the 2020 B.PHL Innovation Fest about Workplace Safety 2.0: New Challenges in the Pandemic and Post-Pandemic Work EnvironmentsManaging partner Samuel H. Pond will join founding partner Jerry Lehocky and Chief Strategy Officer Shawn Lehocky for a conversation moderated by founding partner Thomas J. Giordano.  

The panel will take place on Tuesday, September 15 at 7pm. Registration is free and can be found here. The experts will discuss who the pandemic has impacted workers’ compensation, remote work and injuries, safety around returning the office, and protections all workers should know about.

Pond is a founding and managing partner of Pond Lehocky Giordano, one of the largest workers’ compensation and disability law firms in Pennsylvania. A former President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, he served for six years as treasurer of that organization’s Committee for a Better Tomorrow. He has previously served in leadership roles for numerous organizations, including chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section and member of the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners. 

Jerry Lehocky is a founding partner of Pond Lehocky. A 1985 graduate of Temple University School of Law, he has been a litigator of workers’ compensation and Social Security disability since being admitted to practice. Initially, he represented employers and insurance companies. However, since 1991, he has represented claimants exclusively. He is currently serving a three-year term as a member of the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He is also a former president of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the first workers’ compensation attorney to hold that position.

Giordano has dedicated his career to assisting disabled Americans. He leads Pond Lehocky Disability, the firm’s nationwide Social Security and disability insurance arm. The department has represented tens of thousands of disabled individuals in all 50 states.  

Giordano has also previously served on the board of directors of the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania. A graduate of Rutgers University School of Law – Camden, Giordano currently serves as the chair of the Social Security Disability Committee of the American Association for Justice and as the co-chair of the Social Security Disability section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. 

Shawn Lehocky has led the firm’s embrace of technology and analytics. He directed the firm’s migration to Litify—a cloud-based case management and business operations platform. He is the Chief Executive Officer of LegalOps, a joint venture between Pond Lehocky and Brio Solutions that develops applications to integrate Litify with other back-office solutions and systems. Mr. Lehocky has helped grow our firm’s referral network, which has referred over 86,000 cases—with more than 59,000 of those referrals coming in the last two years.
