Pond Lehocky Giordano is proud to support Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania virtual 5K Run and Golf Outing

While the pandemic has impacted millions of people and organizations nationwide, Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania (KCPA) is forging ahead with virtual and compliant in-person events to provide educational scholarships to kids of injured workers. Pond Lehocky Giordano, a proud partner and supporter of KCPA, is helping to share the non-for-profit’s mission to give kids a hand up. 

Founding partner Jerry Lehocky is on the board of KCPA and is honored to have the firm sponsor the upcoming Tee Off for the Kids! golf outing which took place on Monday, September 14in Plymouth Meeting, PA.  

The event was a huge success raising over $30,000 for scholarships to children of parents who were either severely injured or killed in work accidents,” Lehocky said. With over 20 sponsors and 100 golfers and a perfect weather day at Sunnybrook Golf club, KCPA will be able to help many deserving young adults pursue their educational dreams.  We at Pond Lehocky are honored to be a part of this very important cause that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.” 

KCPA works to provide scholarship grants for secondary education to children whose parent/guardian has suffered an injury, illness or death at the workplace. Even during the Covid-19 outbreak, KCPA strives to continue their mission and provide help to workers. 

Lehocky is a founding partner of Pond Lehocky. A 1985 graduate of Temple University School of Law, he has been a litigator of workers’ compensation and Social Security disability since being admitted to practice. Initially, he represented employers and insurance companies. However, since 1991, he has represented claimants exclusively. He is currently serving a three-year term as a member of the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He is also a former president of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the first workers’ compensation attorney to hold that position.
