The product liability lawyers at Pond Lehocky are investigating claims on behalf of consumers who have suffered burn injuries caused by defective Wagner power steamers. Wagner Spray Tech has recalled approximately 700,000 power steamers sold in the United States after receiving reports that the products can overheat and cause serious burn injuries.
What Power Steamers Are Named in the Wagner Recall?
The Wagner recall affects the following products:
- 905e Auto Steamer
- 915e On-Demand Power Steamer
- 925e Steam Machine Elite Steamer
If you own one of these products, cease using the product immediately and contact Wagner for a free repair kit.
Why Were Wagner Power Steamers Recalled?
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warned that these steamers pose a burn hazard because the hose can become excessively hot and the nozzle can expel hot water both during use and after the trigger is engaged. Wagner has received at least 156 reports involving overheating hoses or hot water discharge, including more than 50 reported burn injuries to consumers’ arms, hands, feet, and faces. Some of these injuries were classified as first- and second-degree burns.
