Attorney Andrew Shumlas Joins Pond Lehocky’s Scranton Office

Pond Lehocky is pleased to welcome workers’ compensation attorney Andrew Shumlas to the firm’s growing team of attorneys. With more than a decade of legal experience representing injured workers and individuals seeking Social Security Disability benefits, Shumlas brings a strong record of advocacy and a deep commitment to helping clients through life’s most difficult challenges.

Shumlas earned his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 2013, where he served as both an Associate Editor and Executive Editor for the Syracuse Journal of Science and Technology. He received his undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Economics from The Pennsylvania State University in 2007.

Since being admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2013, Shumlas has focused his practice on workers’ compensation, personal injury, and Social Security Disability law. Before joining Pond Lehocky, he represented injured workers at several law firms throughout the Scranton area, developing extensive experience advocating for clients and helping them secure the benefits and compensation they deserve. His dedication to client service and thoughtful approach to every case make him a valuable addition to the firm’s workers’ compensation practice.

Outside the office, Shumlas lives in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Laura, and their two daughters, Emelia and Rose. He enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering as a coach for his daughters’ sports teams, and serving his local church, Holy Mother of Sorrows in DuPont, PA.
