How Do You Qualify for SSDI?

To qualify for SSDI benefits, you must either be out of work or earning less than $1,320 per month in gross wages because of your medical conditions. If you are blind, the earnings limit is $2,260 per month.

The medical conditions that keep you from working need to be documented through medical treatment and they must be severe enough to keep you from performing your past work.

If you are over 50 years old, the rules become a bit more favorable for you. If you are under 50 years old, you must show that your medical conditions keep you from performing any full-time work (eight hours per day, five days per week).

If you are out of work and aren’t sure whether you qualify, call or message Pond Lehocky Disability today for a FREE consultation.
