FAQS Background

How Long Does It Take to Get SSDI?

Obtaining Social Security disability benefits can be a long, confusing, and tedious process. It typically takes anywhere from 6 to 24 months.

Part of the reason it takes so long is because there can be up to three levels of appeal to endure before you win potentially. Your case will be reviewed by Social Security at the initial level first. If you are not approved, your case will be reviewed again at the reconsideration level. If your case is not approved a second time, you will have the opportunity to speak with a Judge about your case at the hearing level.

Please do not be discouraged by this news. At Pond Lehocky Disability, you will be carefully guided through the process as quickly and effectively as possible. We would love to have the opportunity to discuss the process with you, so please call us today!
