Nicholas Liermann

Nicholas Liermann earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he was Executive Editor for the Temple Political and Civil Rights Law Review and an intern for Judge Norma L. Shapiro of the Eastern District Court of Pennsylvania. He also holds a B.A. in Administration of Justice from the University of Pittsburgh.

Before joining Pond Lehocky as a workers’ compensation and TSGLI claim attorney, Mr. Liermann worked for eight years as a prosecutor for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office including several years in Homicide Unit. He tried over 45 jury trials and more than 250 bench trials.

Previously, Mr. Liermann served as a Captain in the U.S. Army as part of a Patriot Missile Battalion and was deployed to the Middle East as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has also served in South Korea, Germany, Israel, and Hungary. Since 2012, he has been serving in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps (JAG) reserves, where he represents soldiers in legal matters ranging from estate planning and contract disputes to disciplinary and criminal actions.  Mr. Liermann has attained the rank of Major and has been awarded the Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), and Parachutist Badge.

Mr. Liermann serves as a member of the Hearing Committee for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

In 2013, he founded Team Foster, a non-profit organization raising money to partner wounded veterans with service dogs.
