Mr. Nicholas Liermann earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he was Executive Editor for the Temple Political and Civil Rights Law Review and an intern for Judge Norma L. Shapiro of the Eastern District Court of Pennsylvania. He also holds a B.A. in Administration of Justice from the University of Pittsburgh.



Before joining Pond Lehocky as a workers’ compensation attorney, Mr. Liermann worked for eight years as a prosecutor for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, first for the Northwest Bureau and then the Homicide Unit. He tried over 45 jury trials and more than 250 bench trials.


In the early 2000s, Mr. Liermann served as a Captain in the U.S. Army as part of a Patriot Missile Battalion and was responsible for the training and welfare of over 30 soldiers. Mr. Liermann deployed to the Middle East as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. He was also awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and Parachutist Badge. Since 2012 he has been serving as a reservist in the Army Judge Advocate General Corps (JAG), where he represents soldiers in legal matters ranging from estate planning and contract disputes to disciplinary and criminal actions.  Mr. Liermann’s service includes tours served in Germany, South Korea and stateside.


Mr. Liermann also teaches as an Adjunct Professor in Trial Advocacy at Rutgers School of Law - Camden. He has been admitted to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
