Connor D. Deverell earned his bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in French from the College of Charleston in 2009. He went on to receive his J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2012. Even early on in his career Mr. Deverell focused on using the law to help those in need. While studying in Perth, Australia, he assisted refugees in obtaining residency and work visas as a volunteer with C.A.S.E. Law Firm for Refugees. As a law clerk for Southeast Louisiana Legal Services, he aided homeless veterans in securing vital public assistance and housing. While in law school, Mr. Deverell was a member of the Loyola Law Review. During his final year, he was elected to serve on the editorial board of the journal and he authored two articles which were selected for publication.
After law school, Mr. Deverell briefly worked in corporate litigation before becoming an associate attorney with a disability and personal injury law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. He joined Pond Lehocky in 2015 and his current practice is based in New York City. Throughout his career he has won clients their Social Security disability benefits in more than 1,000 cases. He is a member of the American Association for Justice and has published in the AAJ journal. Mr. Deverell is a regular volunteer with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of New York.
