Ryan Hauck joined Pond Lehocky after more than a decade representing employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation litigation. A lifelong resident of the Pittsburgh region, Mr. Hauck joined Pond Lehocky to launch and lead the firm’s South Hills Pittsburgh office, representing injured workers across Western Pennsylvania and throughout the Commonwealth.
Mr. Hauck began his career at a respected regional defense firm before being recruited to an Am Law 200 litigation firm, where he advanced to partner and shareholder ahead of traditional timelines. In that role, he represented national insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators in all phases of workers’ compensation litigation. His experience spans the full spectrum of claims, from routine matters to complex cases involving orthopedic injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, loss of use, hearing loss, scarring, occupational disease, and fatal claims.
His client base ranged from Fortune 500 companies to locally owned small businesses across virtually every industry, giving him a comprehensive understanding of how claims are evaluated at every level of exposure and complexity. That background provides Mr. Hauck with a distinct advantage in workers’ compensation litigation. He understands how insurance companies and employers evaluate claims, calculate exposure, assess risk, and determine when to settle versus continue litigation. Drawing on years of defense-side experience, he is able to anticipate strategy, identify leverage early, and position cases with the precision that comes from having sat on the other side of the table.
Known for meticulous preparation, command of complex medical and legal issues, and a practical, results-driven approach, Mr. Hauck now uses that insider perspective to advocate for injured workers and their families throughout Pennsylvania.
An active member of the local legal community, Mr. Hauck belongs to the Allegheny County Bar Association, where he was elected by his peers in 2019, 2023, and 2025 to serve on the Council of the Workers’ Compensation Section. In that role, he has helped analyze developments in workers’ compensation practice, engage with the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and administrative personnel, and keep both the bar and public informed about changes in law and procedure.
Mr. Hauck earned his law degree, cum laude, from Duquesne University School of Law, where he received recognition for excellence in legal writing and advocacy, including awards for legal research and writing, appellate brief, and oral argument. He completed his undergraduate studies at Westminster College, where he was a basketball letterman and active member of a national fraternity.
Outside of his practice, Mr. Hauck is deeply rooted in the Pittsburgh community and enjoys following Pittsburgh sports, fishing, golfing, and attending his children’s many activities. Above all, he values time with his wife, Ashley, and their two children, Gavin and Shay.
