Kate Hurley is an associate workers’ compensation attorney dedicated to protecting the rights of injured workers and helping them obtain the benefits they deserve. With prior experience representing employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation matters, Ms. Hurley brings a unique perspective to the representation of injured employees.

Before joining Pond Lehocky, Ms. Hurley practiced workers’ compensation defense for roughly three years. She focused her practice on litigation representing insurance carriers and self-insured employers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey at all levels of administrative and appellate proceedings.

Having previously worked on the defense side, Ms. Hurley understands how employers, insurance carriers, and their attorneys evaluate workers’ compensation claims. That experience provides valuable insight into the strategies commonly used to challenge claims, limit benefits, and defend against injured workers. Today, Ms. Hurley uses that knowledge to level the playing field for injured employees and their families.

Outside of her practice, Ms. Hurley lives in the city of Philadelphia with her two cats, Jerry and Sheri. She is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoys cooking and baking, staying active, billiards, and interior decorating.
