Does working from home eliminate the option for workers’ compensation benefits?

Workers’ compensation is a benefit provided to employees who sustain injuries while performing work-related tasks. Many people working on the front lines—including nurses, doctors and construction workers—are high at risk for injuries.

However, as many people transition from working at the office to working from home, they are still susceptible to injuries. Tele-commuting can lead to common injuries, such as:

  • Carpel Tunnel Syndrome
  • Overextension
  • Back Injuries
  • Pinched Nerves
  • Eye Strain

If you get hurt while working remotely, report the accident to your employer right away. Make sure to document your injury with photographs, medical records, and a detailed description of the incident. Contact us to learn more about your rights and to get experienced legal care.

The health and safety of our hard-working clients, many who are currently working on the front lines, will always remain our number one priority. As a reminder, you can get your questions answered by calling our Pond Lehocky COVID-19 Hotline at 267-606-4343. Stay safe and well.
