Chase Murtaugh

Chase Murtaugh brings a rare blend of clinical insight, engineering leadership, and mission-driven technology experience to one of the nation’s leading law firms for injured and disabled individuals. He is responsible for the firm’s technology strategy, modernizing the systems that support intake, case management, and firm-wide operations across all practice areas — from workers’ compensation and Social Security disability to personal injury and beyond.

Before joining Pond Lehocky Giordano, Chase served as Technical Lead at Case Xchange, a platform for law firm case referral management. There he led development of the systems firms use to route, track, and manage referrals end to end, partnering with legal operations teams to translate complex case workflows into reliable software.

Chase began his career in healthcare as a medical scribe, working alongside physicians at the point of care before moving into software development at ScribeAmerica. He went on to lead software development at The Wistar Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, building tools for researchers advancing cancer and HIV science. That mix of clinical exposure and research-grade engineering shaped how he builds technology for high-stakes, detail-driven environments.

Chase holds a Bachelor of Science from Clemson University. His path — from the exam room to the research lab to legal technology — allows him to approach legal operations with a practical, systems-level perspective, pairing hands-on engineering with a clear focus on the firm’s mission of advocating for those in need.
