Jerry Lehocky Writes Chapter for Occupational Hearing Loss Standard Reference Book

Filed in:

Firm News

We are pleased to share that Jerry Lehocky, a founding partner at our firm, has contributed a chapter to the fourth edition of Occupational Hearing Loss. This industry-standard medical reference book offers a comprehensive look at the challenges of occupational noise exposure, the various causes and types of hearing loss, and essential testing protocols. In his chapter, Jerry examines the differences between state and federal workers’ compensation formulas for hearing loss – a topic that provides practical insight for both legal professionals and injured workers.

A Long History of Advocacy Rooted in Expertise

Jerry Lehocky has dedicated over 30 years to representing injured and disabled workers. Raised in a blue-collar community in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, he learned early on the value of hard work and commitment. After graduating from Temple University School of Law, Jerry’s career evolved from working within the City of Philadelphia’s workers’ compensation department to representing claimants directly. His shift from defending employers to advocating for workers was shaped by both professional experience and personal insight. Over the years, his work has earned him widespread recognition within the legal community and has contributed to significant outcomes, including a notable $5.6 million settlement.

Educating the Public & Fighting for Workers

At Pond Lehocky Giordano, our commitment to supporting injured workers goes beyond simply providing legal representation. We continuously strive to educate the public on important issues related to work injuries and workers’ compensation. Whether through contributions to publications like Occupational Hearing Loss or through community outreach and legislative efforts, our goal is to empower workers with clear, accessible information about their rights.

Jerry’s work on this latest medical book is a reflection of our firm’s broader mission. By addressing complex topics such as the distinctions between state and federal hearing loss compensation, his chapter helps clarify an important aspect of workers’ compensation law. At the same time, our firm remains dedicated to both fighting for our clients in the courtroom and promoting public awareness about work-related injuries. This dual approach ensures that we are working to protect workers’ interests every day, both through legal advocacy and through educational outreach.
