Kate Hurley Joins Pond Lehocky as a Workers’ Compensation Attorney

Pond Lehocky is proud to welcome Kate Hurley to the firm as an associate workers’ compensation attorney. Ms. Hurley brings valuable experience on both sides of workers’ compensation litigation, giving her a unique perspective that she now uses to advocate for injured workers.

Ms. Hurley earned her J.D. from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law in 2023 after graduating from James Madison University with a degree in Philosophy and Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Before joining Pond Lehocky, Ms. Hurley spent approximately three years representing employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation matters. Her defense-side practice included litigation at all levels of administrative and appellate proceedings throughout PA and NJ.

That experience gave Ms. Hurley firsthand insight into how insurance companies and employers evaluate claims and the strategies they may use to challenge an injured worker’s case or limit benefits. Today, she puts that knowledge to work helping injured employees understand their rights and pursue the benefits they deserve.

Outside of the office, she lives in Philadelphia with her two cats, Jerry and Sheri. She is a passionate Philadelphia sports fan and enjoys cooking, baking, staying active, playing billiards, and interior decorating.
