Acclaimed Attorney Lou D’Onofrio Joins Pond Lehocky’s Workers’ Compensation Team

Pond Lehocky is proud to welcome attorney Lou D’Onofrio to the firm, adding a highly accomplished litigator with more than two decades of courtroom experience to our growing legal team.

Throughout his 23-year career, D’Onofrio has built a reputation as a skilled advocate and relentless fighter for his clients. Licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and New York, he has handled complex litigation at the highest levels, representing clients in courtrooms across multiple jurisdictions and securing favorable outcomes in jury and bench trials alike.

Lou’s career began after graduating cum laude from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law in 2003. He began his career in insurance defense before transitioning into prosecution, mass tort litigation, and sexual abuse matters. He later founded and operated his own law firm for nearly a decade, where he served as lead trial counsel in numerous jury and bench trials. 

Following that, D’Onofrio joined the Delaware Department of Justice as a Senior Deputy Attorney General, where he handled significant fraud and consumer protection matters and continued trying cases in both jury and bench settings. Most recently, he returned to private practice handling all phases of major first- and third-party insurance defense litigation in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. 

Currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Yale University’s School of Management, D’Onofrio’s pursuit of excellence extends to his personal life as well as his professional career. He is a veteran ultrarunner who has completed more than nineteen 100-mile races.   

In addition to his litigation background, D’Onofrio also brings tremendous professionalism, leadership qualities, and mentoring potential for our younger attorneys. We look forward to having his experience and pedigree on our team.
